[Korean study series 27]

This book is a compilation of the papers about Korean Neolithic written by Prof. Nelson over the course of her career in East Asian archaeology. The first section deals with plant and animal domestication in Korea. The second part concerns ways to identify the functions of artifacts. The next papers discuss tribes, lineages, the division of labor, and gender. Comparisons of Korean Neolithic with sites elsewhere in Asia help place Korean sites in their regional setting. The book ends with some thoughts about Korean archaeology in the past and the future of Korean.
